I've found that the Yogi Tea company's Cinnamon Spice tea mix {loose, not bagged} is a good way to start making your own chai. It has directions for boiling the milk and water, etc. If you like black tea, you'll need to add a bit of it--this is a spice blend only. I've found Yogi Tea in various health food stores, and it most resembles the chai I experienced in India.
